What it is

Eighty-four illustrated cards that don’t mean anything in particular. Each turn someone’s the storyteller: they look at one of their cards and say a phrase, a word, even just a sound. Everyone else picks the card from their hand that comes closest, it all gets shuffled together, and then you vote.

Dixit, what it is

How it plays

If everyone guesses your card, you get nothing, and if nobody guesses it, same thing. You need to be clear to some and obscure to others, and that’s where the game gets decided. Half an hour, and you play to thirty points.

The nugget

Half an hour a game, three minutes to explain it, and language-independent: you can play it with anyone. @asmodee_it brings it out in Italian.

At our table

The game we pull out when someone at the table has never played anything before.

Who would you bring to this table?

Dixit works even with people who’ve never played anything: all it takes is the pictures and a bit of nerve.
