What it is

The lab rats got smart and escaped. Now they live in a burrow under a farm, and every round they send teams topside to steal wood, metal, and the ideas humans leave lying around.

Ratti di Wistar, what it is

How it plays

In your first game you focus on the burrow: new rooms, new rats to unlock. Then you count the points and find out the winner is whoever played the cards. And not just a lot of cards: the ones that combo together. Whoever neglects that part falls behind, every time.

The nugget

The box says ninety minutes, but our games tell a different story: fifty minutes with two players, almost two hours with four. With two, it’s basically a different game. You can also play it solo, and it’s language-independent. @craniocreations_official brings it out in Italian.

At our table

Twenty-eight games on our table, and I still place my rats in the wrong spot every single time.

How many games does it take to judge a game?

Here your first game you build the burrow, and only at scoring do you find out the points were in the cards all along.
